So i took a few pics of the starter pawl to get some feedback as to what's causing my slippage in starting this thing with the pull start. This thing didn't come with any of that. Still getting used to the camera and all the settings. But the damage was there before the plate was installed. It's cranking over just fine. Thats not as shambled as you may think. Going to post some pics of the engine and wiring harness soon. Just got my first mini chopper, wiring was a mess, so I'm starting over, and I am greatly confused. I got the electric start going now, but it doesn't hurt to have a back-up in case the battery dies.
. The gear position which is the least important is the ones coming out by the output sprocket. This is what I'm trying to connect to the connector on the solinoid in order to start the bike with the yellow push button. The finned box is your voltage regulator, the starter motor is also the generator when its running, the are 4 brushes inside the housing.

I think I've firgured out most of the wires on the engine side. The wires coming from the engine, mine has two sets. Anybody out there have any signal lights, headlight and taillights? I don't have a match for it on the top side of the harness near the keyswitch. The bike is in good shape for an old bike. I did have it on there and after a couple of pulls I dis-assembled it and removed the plate and it got allot better.
